In 2007, Ecology Action partnered with the Cleaner Beaches Coalition to continue Annual Coastal Cleanup and to organize cleanups on a more frequent basis. Although Ecology Action is still a key participant in the ACC, primary coordination is now conducted by Save Our Shores.

The Cleaner Beaches Coalition is a coordinated effort led by Save Our Shores to hold monthly beach cleanups with Surfrider Foundation, Pack Your Trash, and Ecology Action. Cleanups are generally held on the first Saturday of every month from 11am - 1pm. The Coalition engages students, civic organizations, corporate groups and individuals and families to remove marine debris from our beaches before it becomes a problem for marine life and our way of life.
